Carlos Huber of ARQUISTE in New Zealand

A  little over a year and a half ago WORLD Beauty was lucky enough to be visited by Carlos Huber as we launched his fragrance collection ARQUISTE.  The collection of 7 fragrances was bought to our attention by Maison Cire Trudon, famed candle maker since 1643 (a brand we have exclusively stocked for the past 6 years), as they had just released a collaborative candle with ARQUISTE, which is the first collaboration to hold a place in their classic-ongoing collection -  named Merida.

In three short years ARQUISTE has become one the planets most luxurious cult fragrance houses, stocked in some of the finest boutiques, such as Barneys New York, L'Eclaireur, 10 Corso Como, Tomorrowland, Aedes de Venustas and Peony...to name a few that we love.  Most recently Carlos has just launched another historic collaboration ARQUISTE for J.Crew , with two purposely designed scents for the renowned American retailer, made in ARQUISTE's inimitable style.

However, the most exciting thing (we think) Carlos has done recently is visit WORLD Beauty in New Zealand, and with him he brought his two newly released fragrances for us to launch!!!  Over 4 nights in Auckland and Wellington, Carlos entertained intimate audiences of the fragrant faithful.  With champagne and  COOL FOOD , we were able to bask in the illuminated stories told by the creator himself.

Carlos walked each of the guests through his development from Architectural Scholar to Historic Preservation Architect to fragrance developer and brand creator.  He then proceed to walk us thought by thought, emotion by emotion through his two new fragrances The Architect's Club and L'Etrog Acqua.
Each ARQUISTE fragrance has been pain painstakingly created with a time and a place in mind and heart, the individual fragrances draw on this inspiration to tell a story of a moment fro history making the fragrance a sort of time capsule that offers the wearer a unique and inspiring connection to the scent with multiple layers to enjoy the experience.
