MISSONI Basket reinterprets an iconic model designed by Ottavio Missoni in the ’90s and has been revived and modernised with sustainable materials with the goal of creating the luxury sneakers with the highest percentage of ‘green’ materials on the market.

Composition: 100% Polyester

 

This collection has been designed and

manufactured in collaboration with ACBC

certified B Corporation.

B Corporation is the certification for the

highest standards of verified social and

environmental performance.

Our aim was to create sneakers with lower

impact on the environment using up-cycled

yarns and fabrics from Missoni dead stock,

post consumer recycled fibres and

renewable materials derived natural

biological sources.

 

BIOGUM / SOLE

BiogumTM is based on renewable raw materials and with the same quality and processability as

traditional fossil based TPUs.The polyols used in the reaction of the plastics are bio based

derived from cornstarch and are substituted to the traditional fossil based polyols. It can reach

60% bio-based levels and it’s 100% recyclable.

 

CORNBASE / UPPER

CornBase is a bio-based alternative to leather derived from non GMO corn starch. The

molecules extracted from corn starch are transformed with green chemistry to replace The

part that was traditionally derived from fossil materials.

 

REBOTILIA / LINING

Rebotilia is derived from recycled PET bottles. Using recycled polyester means saving

a great amount of CO2 compared to using virgin material and reduces the problem of

plastic in landfills and oceans.
