WORLD Loves IHC - Legacy Charity Tote Bag - Christina Van Der Hooft
TO COMMEMORATE OUR 30TH ANNIVERSARY, WE ARE LAUNCHING THE 'WORLD LEGACY CHARITY PROJECT' IN CONJUNCTION WITH IHC NEW ZEALAND. THESE LIMITED EDITION, WORLD DESIGNED, RE-USABLE BAGS FEATURE 4 DIFFERENT DESIGNS BY THE SUPERBLY TALENTED ARTISTS AND ENTRANTS IN THE IHC ART AWARDS
Since 2009 Dame Denise L'Estrange-Corbet, Co-founder and Director of WORLD, has been working with the
IHC Art Awards, and in 2016 was made their Ambassador. In celebrating WORLD'S 30th Anniversary, and in keeping with their dedicated 3 decade long philanthropic ethos, WORLD has chosen the IHC Art Awards to launch the 'WORLD LEGACY CHARITY PROJECT’. Each WORLD designed 12oz, unbleached cotton, reusable canvas bag, has been printed with an artwork created by one of the 2019 IHC Art Awards entrants - and selected by Dame Denise.
All profits from the sales of these bags, go to the artists and the IHC Art Awards.
Christina Van Der Hooft has been working at Māpura Studios Auckland for six years. She is a very considered artist; in the studio she will often sit still and observe her work for an extended pause, before she makes a measured stroke. She uses repetition and flat geometric patterns in her paintings. “I like drawing and painting. I don’t know if it makes me happy or sad. I’m happy to show my work”.
