THE HISTORY:

In the lush English countryside, within the picturesque county of Sussex, the dazzling Glyndebourne Festival rises in splendor and charm—a refined operatic event masterfully conceived by J. Christie and his extraordinary wife, Audrey Mildmay, a renowned opera singer. This festival has become the epicenter for the most discerning lovers of this art form.

Under the starry summer nights, Glyndebourne is enveloped in an aura of elegance. Attendees adorn themselves in their most dazzling attire, eager to immerse themselves in the magnificence of music and divine performances. Laughter and whispers fill the air as opera casts its spell across every corner of the festival. And amidst this enchanting setting, like a gleaming beacon, emerges "La Musique de Christie", the new gem from Eight & Bob that captures the very essence of Glyndebourne in an exquisite bottle.

The olfactory journey begins with the captivating presence of Greek saffron, an ingredient as luxurious and singular as the operatic notes filling the air. This intriguing and intoxicating character of saffron awakens emotions and inspires whispers of intrigue in its trail.

"La Musique de Christie" evokes the majesty of open-air opera, carrying with it the modern essence of Glyndebourne and the passionate spirit of opera lovers under the moonlight. It is a score that comes alive on the skin, capturing the emotion and sophistication that flow with every note and every drop of the extract.

La Musique de Christie becomes a celebration of contemporary luxury, a tribute to the elegance and passion intertwined in every note of the opera and every essence of the extract.

This new chapter in the Les Extraits Collection by Eight & Bob joins the already iconic extracts Agneta and Guethary, along with the newly introduced "Le Geste d’Edmond". Each extract is inspired by a unique story, an olfactory experience that transcends time and space.

Thus, "La Musique de Christie" stands as a contemporary aromatic symphony, a tribute to Christie, the creator of the exclusive Glyndebourne Festival. It is a special fragrance, a true perfumed masterpiece crafted with passion and style.
As the fragrance unfolds, leather and moss intertwine in an olfactory symphony. Notes of nutmeg, leather, musk, and patchouli dance in harmonious conjunction, adding depth and mystery to the composition.

HISTORY

PERFUMER
Albert Fouquet

The perfume with history - Eight and Bob was created by Albert Fouquet, the son of a French aristocrat. In a room on the upper floor of the family château, Fouquet created and perfected various essences for his own personal use aided by Philippe, the trusted family butler. At social events his fragrance was in high demand, however, Fouquet continually rejected proposals to market his fragrance. His fragrances were for his own delight, his own creative fulfilment and very personal as they told the stories of his favourite people and places. This all changed, however, one night in 1937 when Fouquet met a young John F Kennedy who fell in love with his fragrance and the rest, as they say, is history...
