1697 by Maison Frapin is the seventh scent from the world's oldest family business and is named after the year that the Frapin family was enobled by Louis XIV.  Drawing on the age old principles of cognac making, cult French perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour has mind blowingly translated the aromas of dried fruit, spices, leather, amber and wood and mixed it with the softness of vanilla and tonka beans to create a remarkable scent.
